Maria Aslam-Hyder established ADA magazine in 2008, along with her practice of architecture and interior design ArchWorks. In her 20+ years career, she has worked in design, led research, and has been nominated speaker, convener, juror and critic in various global events.

A graduate of Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture with a Masters degree from McGill University, has represented Pakistan in many global forums. She has held prestigious leading positions for various architectural organizations in Pakistan and is currently the Chairperson Pakistan Institute of Interior Designers. Her inaugural book ‘Interiors of Pakistan Volume I was launched in 2016.

She is a prolific writer, architectural historian and an environmental activist. She is the dynamic and driving force behind ADA’s and has conceived and conceptualized the ADA AWARDS for the creative community in the disciplines of Architecture, Design and Art.
