The façade of Galileo Apartment Building that is located in Polanco achieves transparency and at the same time privacy by combining different crystal, wood and concrete opacities. A contrasted dialogue with the surrounding constructions takes place, setting as well a guideline towards the modernity of what should be developed in the future. In the inside, all areas of the building have a natural illumination and ventilation without being exposed to the exterior. The building volume rigidity is emphasized with the combination of all these elements with the side apparent concrete facades and balconies. The same design tendency is found at the back façade, although with a different construction system. The foyer access of each level to the apartments is the main staircase. The translucent effect intention in order to create the building core is part of the design. Light and shadows are allowed from the loose step design, the crystal screen and handrail, and the solid concrete structure, increasing the spaciousness sensation.
